Class Descriptions

PEE WEE Tennis
This first tennis experience for players 3-5yrs old is all about FUN. We use mini tennis courts with rubber, foam and pressure-less tennis balls to get each student to track in incoming ball and strike it with the proper hand or hands. student to instructor ratios will be no more than 3-1.

Meets Thurs 930-10am

10 & UNDER TENNIS
10 & Under Tennis encompasses players between 4-10yrs. FUN, EXERCISE and TENNIS come together on mini tennis courts with rubber, foam and pressure-less tennis balls. Stroke production and movement are intertwined with rally games to make this a the most effective way to get kids actually playing tennis, rather than just standing and swinging. the sooner kids understand why they are hitting the ball, the sooner they become independent players. 3-5 instructors on 3-5 mini courts will ensure our student/instructor ratios stay the lowest on the cape. According to age and ability, players will be split into teams (tiny stars, silver stars and gold stars).

Register for 2x/week or 4x/week

PRE TEAM
After 10 & Under tennis, players move up to the PRE TEAM. Placement into the PRE TEAM is LEVEL APPROPRIATE. Players must be able to rally and get serves into the correct box. Introduction to match play happens on Fridays during ladder challenge matches. Meets Mon, Wed & Fri 3-430pm TEAM TENNIS After playing on the PRE-TEAM, players move up to TEAM Tennis. These 4.5hrs of practice time will consist of stroke production and encouragement of spin, utilizing the green dot balls as well as moving into the standard yellow balls. Consistency wins matches. Serve and return strategies are introduced and incorporated into drills and games. The TEAM competes against other clubs Friday afternoons.

DAVIS CUP
After competing with the Team, players move up to the Davis Cup team. Movement with the lower body and preparation with the upper body allows these players to control the ball with backspin and topspin. Since the serve and return are the two most important strokes, they are practiced constantly to prepare all players for ladder matches, intra-club matches and tournaments (local & USTA). Physical and mental conditioning continues.

Intra-Club Matches Fri 1pm or 3pm

For players that want more tennis, we offer the "Camp Option"
Pack a lunch and eat 1230-1pm, then back on the court for bonus tennis time 1-230/3pm.   


US OPEN ADVANCED TEAM
The next step up from the davis cup, the US OPEN Team is a smaller group that focuses on getting players ready for tournaments and high school tennis

Meets Mon Tues & Thurs 1030-1230
Intra-Club Matches Fri 1pm or 3pm
For players that want more tennis, we offer the "Camp Option"
Pack a lunch and eat 1230-1pm, then back on the court for bonus tennis time 1-230/3pm.   

WIMBLEDON ADVANCED TEAM
These player compete on a high school team and are committed to playing tennis at a high level.

Wed & Fri 9:30am to 11:00am Heart pumping tennis action!

DOUBLES GRIND
Sat 9:00am to 11:00am Arrive: 8:45am A weekly doubles PRO-AM featuring the best players on the cape. Amateurs are matched up with a local teaching pro, college player (ex or current) or ranked USTA junior to grind out 3-5 shortened sets over 2hrs for top court supremacy. The highest level tennis played on the cape. Invitation only.
